a friend kept on singing this song during our planning... i just realized recently that this is a wondergirls' track! :D being a big kpop fan, this song immediately grew on me... :)

this is how a wedding should be

divi day divi day!

so i was bored to death last saturday and cursed C/S9 since they did not air raw... so it was a pleasant surprise when inang reyna told me that we're going to divi the next day! it has been a long time since i last spent my money on good finds and it was a more than ok reunion with divi for me... :)

of course, before i went scramming in divi like a little girl looking for a chest of candies, i had to take my usual vanity shots! :p

anyhow, so we got to divi and as expected, people were effortlessly banging me with their humongous shopping plastic bags... but even that was not able to take away the goofy grin from my face as i made a dash to the stores that caught my eye...







i was originally planning on buying a pair of black pumps only (ok and maybe a cute dress) but lo and behold! i was pulled by my curiosity to a discreet sign which said "250"... i jumped for joy when i saw this super cute purple dress (ok i'm not a fan of the color purple but this particular dress is so pretty that i had to at least try it on) and ran to the nearest changing room which happened to be just one... :(



i got this for only P250!!! :D ---------->























i consider this a prized find! i couldn't believe how flattering it looked on me... :) plus, it covered my chest area so there will be no peek-a-boos... haha :p

think one prized find is enough for this hungry bargain hunter? of course NOT! i had to get this other dress which again, made the butterflies inside my tummy dance... :D


and guess for how much? P300 only!! :D what started as a simple dance inside my tummy turned into a frenzied cartwheel exhibition... hahaha :p anyway, i just had to get it... i love the elaborate details in the lower portion of the dress and the choice of black for the upper portion is just perfect!


after paying for the two dresses, i had to gather all my strength and control the nagging urge to buy more clothes... i told myself that i went to divi for one reason: SHOES... so i went to my shoe store and bought two pumps and a slipper (which i can wear when i commute)...

they were only P230 each! :) it was such a relief that there were shoes that actually fit me and i like... :)




just imagine the smile i had on as i was carrying my precious bargain hunt on my way to our store... ;p it was so satisfying! i felt accomplished for such a small reason... haha :p

more than the feeling of satisfaction, i was overcome by this excitement over the coming of the BER months... i am crossing my fingers that my next trip to divi will be just a few more weeks (or days??) from now... ;)

when the team goes on building

i originally wanted to post these pictures in my multiply account but i figured it will be more relevant to tell the stories behind the images you will be seeing in this entry... :)

let's start off with the pre-trip giddiness:
you could smell the "petiks" aroma in the air... people were busy traveling to different cubicles... gathering whoever is at sight and snapping some shots... here are just some of the evidences:

yup! you can feel davey's excitement just by looking at his pose... haha :p too bad he wasn't able to join... that freakin' a(h1n1) scare got all businessmen wetting their million-dollar pant suits... with us are candy, sheila, rooo and kris....

since we've been working our asses off, shutting down our pcs at exactly 12 noon was like giving lil kids christmas presents in may... and so we mad-dashed towards the elevator and and grabbed our seats in our van... of course, settling in won't stop us from taking shots... ;)

yes, as you can see in the above picture (left), mc is trying to cover my face but she only succeeded slightly... haha :)

once we were in island cove already, we had our first group shot!

whoever said team buildings need to be all serious and work-related all the time? the people behind motivating minds, our partner facilitators, prepared cool and crazy games for us so that we could bond more...












of course we had our jump shot... :)

















our previous shots all look silly because we could not time our jump properly... we had more than ten frames of us trying in vain to catch the right time to jump... it was fun looking at all the frames coz it captured just how happy we were at jumping again and again and again... haha :p



also, we had our night bonding where we got to learn a little something from each other... we started at around 11 pm and ended at 4 am... talk about bonding... haha :p


it started out as a girl's talk then turned into an elaborate game of around the world... at first i was clueless on how to play the game but as it progressed, i slowly got in on the game... it's very tricky but fun once you already know how to play it... hehe :) and then we went on again with our girl talk... it was a nice experience coz each got to share his/her story and we all got to learn from it... it felt good knowing that these people put their trust on me and shared with me their experiences...


finally, we had to say goodbye but it wasn't a sad one since we knew that we took more than we've expected from team building... ;)

conquering new heights (translate: DOTA)

a lot of you people know me as a girly girl who loves to dress up and creates a canvass out of a girl's face... but a fewer people know that i have a tough side to me... for example, i'm an avid wwe (wwf in the homo sapien days) fan... i practically grew up to hulkmania, rock 'n sock connection, austin era, dx domination and even the more recent rated rko and evolution dynasty... i also pride myself in being a capable basketball player (though no formal training) and i specialize in, yup, you guessed it, free throw (i'm serious)... i was also commended by ms. carbon (bring on the bragging rights) as a FIERCE defense player (i think what triggered the commendation was my incredible ability to use my upper body as brick wall against the player i was guarding) and she even commented "kung tumangkad lang yang si dulay naku patay kayo dyan!"... at least that was how i remembered her words...

ok enough about my boyish side and let's move on to the topic... as i was saying, beneath the girly-girly facade, i do have a rugged side... that's why i couldn't say no to an offer to play dota with my boyfriend, chibi... i've been wooed for several days now by chibi to play with him but i got apprehensive since i don't play pc games that much and the last time i played a pc game was back in highschool when i was still a counterstrike addict... but i realized, what the heck? i'll be playing with chibi anyway... i'm sure he wouldn't judge my ability ti handle kardel (which i've proven right)... so we teamed up and fought a.i. (since i didn't want to compete with others yet)... guess what? WE WON! yup, we won... and we won without my help... haha :p chibi did most of the killing (i think i killed one of the scourges and a few creeps) and dominated the game while i was most of the time lost in the woods looking for the way to the battle or being killed time and again since my touchpad managed to bring me a little too close to the main scourge that i couldn't escape once my lifeline was decreasing...

regardless of my poor performance, i had so much fun! i had a great time teaming up with chibi and being protected by him during my "lost-in-the-woods" phase and his encouraging words and advices whenever i was being targeted by the scourges... the game made me realize that i don't have to be a master of the game in order to have fun or excel in it eventually... by committing my countless mistakes, i was motivated to search for the solution to those mistakes and improve my game... you just have to be brave enough to tread new waters and embrace whatever's waiting for you in the new island...

like my venture into dota, i will soon be treading new waters if circumstances will permit it... i am scared, i admit that but i'm excited as well as i see this as a chance to reinvent my career, a much needed break from all the stress i've been having... so, wish me luck because i will be needing it... :)
